Tom Clarke writing a new record: "The new record is taking shape. Essentially a grown up version of We'll Live And Die In These Towns, it focuses on a central character Nigel, who we first met in Be Somebody. Nigel was inspired by XTCs' 1979 "Making Plans For Nigel". When we checked in on him in 2009s' Be Somebody, Nigel had left the happy world of British Steel and was working in a department store, falling in love with a local girl. Ten years on we catch up with Nigel in 2019 and delve into his world. We meet his family, uncover his deception, share in his heartbreak and watch his world implode. We also meet Nigels parents and some old names from WLADITT. It's a gritty story of convention, disfunction, sex, lies and a mans battle to hold his world together. It's as British as fish and chips. Musically the plan was to record and release an acoustic album. Work was already underway but as Nigels plot thickened it became obvious that full band was the only way to tell his story. Drums, wires, maybe the odd smattering of saxophone. At its core it's WLADITT, but more mature, more worldly, more inquisitive."

Hello everyone! Super excited to announce a bunch more dates for 2018, all over the rest of the UK. I wanted to play a bunch of smaller venues so I can try out a couple of new tunes and because you can't beat the atmosphere of an intimate gig. I will of course be playing all the old favourites too. Check out the tour poster to see where I'm playing near you, tickets are available from Monday! Hope to see you all there!

I'm very excited to be able to announce that this April I'll be playing four very intimate shows across London. As amazing as it was to headline Shepherds Bush Empire at the end of 2017, I want to spend 2018 in tiny venues, up close and personal with fans, trying out new material to see what works, as well as playing all the classics of course. April will be the first spree of these tiny gigs. North, East, South and West London is something that I've wanted to do for a long time, it's a change from the beaten track for me, and a chance to sneak some new songs into the set and see how they go down! Tickets will be on-sale from the below link Friday at 9am so be quick: https://tomclarke.seetickets.com/tour/tom-clarke The dates are as follows: Wed 11th April The 100 Club Thu 12th April Camden Dingwalls Sat 14th April Bush Hall Sun 15th April Oslo Hackney Tickets for these little ones won’t hang around for long, hope to see you there!

Many of you know I've just been out on my own and played We'll Live And Die In These Towns in its entirety, acoustically, to celebrate the albums ten year anniversary. The tour was beyond anything I had expected, the shows were like no acoustic show I've ever seen, the fans as always melted my heart. Based on the success of these shows and some frankly amazing support from Academy Events who really deserve some praise for making this all possible, I'm able to announce a further four dates. The four shows are Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and London, right down the spine of the UK. The recent shows sold out very quickly and the demand for more shows has been high, so I advise getting your tickets as soon as they go on sale. O2 Priority tickets are available on Wednesday and tickets go on general sale on Friday at 9am! The first 500 people to buy tickets will recieve a free recording of the London show from the recent tour. It was an amazing night so make sure you don't miss out! This time around I intend to play We'll Live And Die In These Towns in its entirety again, as well as some other Enemy favourites from throughout the years. I'd really appreciate some feedback on Twitter from you guys about what Enemy tracks are your favourites. This time around I want to celebrate the whole decade, as well as the first album. At the recent shows I floated the idea of me writing some new material. I'm excited to say that's something I'm going to do. I fully intend to squeeze at least one new tune into the set on these handful of dates, so it'll be a plentiful and varied set list! This whole thing started off as a stripped back ending, but it's become an encouraging new beginning too. I can't wait to see you all again! - Tom X
