Hey there, You can check out the first ever Obsydians interview! There is some Sybreed related q&a so I thought it was on purpose to post it here. It's in French but Google Translation might light up a few things for you. Cheers! Drop RMX http://sebmetal.over-blog.com/2015/02/interview-obsydians.html
Dear all, This is Drop speaking. Since we stopped our activities with Sybreed we've been quite silent about our project, but now the time has come to shed some light on the future. Kevin, Ales and I will be united in a brand new project called Obsydians. We will be the only permanent members, while the others, mainly the singers, will change constantly. The intent with this concept is to keep ourselves free to explore a broader musical range while staying in the logical continuity of Sybreed. As far a singers go, we already have a list of really cool names, and we're sure than none shall be disappointed. More informations, of course, will come later. A new page has been opened, where we will gradually unveil new images, videos and everything you might want to learn about Obsydians. We really hope you will follow us on this new adventure. So check it out and stay tuned. Great things are coming! And last but not least, standing ovation for our friend Erik Burton Kirchner Art that designed that mind blowing logo. Thanks man! Drop
30k likes !!! You have no idea what this means to us. Some months ago we announced that Sybreed would stop their activities and we are incredibly touched that this fan base kept on growing. We love you from the bottom of our hearts!! We take this opportunity to announce that some of Sybreed members are gathered around a brand new project. We already have the band name and the whole concept, but we want to keep it secret for the time being. We will reveal some more this fall, on this page. We know we ain't saying much, but let us assure you the Sybreed fans will be quite happy with the new band. Looking forward to see you again on the road.
Dear all, This is the most difficult and worst announcement that we've ever had to make, and we were not expecting to have to but, unfortunately, we do not have the choice... So here it goes: One month ago, it’s with great sadness that Benjamin had to inform us that, because of reasons beyond his control, he won't be able to participate in the upcoming tours scheduled. He consequently, after a lengthy period of reflections, decided to leave Sybreed, for professional and personal matters. On the rest of the band's side, we have therefore chosen to cancel all our upcoming engagements, which include our participation to the Soilwork tour, considering that replacing Ben on such a short notice is out of the question, not only because it verges on the impossible, but mainly because we don't want to. He is now and always will remain an important part of Sybreed's identity, as well as one it's founders. So we will take some time off to focus on our other projects, and in time we'll see where we stand. We would like to thank Benjamin with a warm heart for those great years spent with him as Sybreed's singer, but also as a true friend. We are all very sad about this unexpected situation and still shocked, but it is what it is and nobody is to blame, just a mix of very sad and unexpected circumstances. We also would like to apologize to the bands and the staff involved in the Infinity Tour, and to our fans who expected to see us on stage on the upcoming days. We feel really awful canceling on such short notice. And most of all, we would also like to thank all the people we worked with and all the fans that supported us in the past ten years, we are very lucky to have you and will never forget. See you, hopefully, as soon as possible.
Dear Sybreeders, It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that we have to cancel our three shows with Fear Factory: our singer Ben felt sick several days ago and while his condition isn't alarming, he is currently unable to perform, as well as he has been instruct to take a rest in order to recover properly. It's isn't like us to pass up such a great opportunity, especially on such short notice. We sincerly hope that nobody will feel wronged by this event, and that no bad feelings will be harbored against us. We are truly sorry. Keep rocking, SYBREED
