Every day our senses are assaulted by the ridiculous. It's not so long ago that today's plots and wrangles between nation governments would seem too far-fetched to inspire a Hollywood blockbuster. The perversions and struggles leave a shadow over the spirit of the people and the land. It's not an original sin. Every era bears the burden of chaos and warmongering. Time immemorial.
"New World" is a comment on a recent history of conquest and submission. How fitting that Shepard Fairey, Aaron Huey and Ernesto Yerena complemented our music in such a way. They are artists of great conscience and sensitivity. I'm most grateful. I'm also pleased to add my support to HonorEarth.org.

JOHN BONHAM MEMORIAL
We are thrilled to announce that a permanent bronze memorial of world renowned drummer John Bonham of Led Zeppelin has been erected in Redditch Town centre to commemorate the Redditch born musician's 70th birthday May 31st 2018. The idea originated from fans in the West Midlands town who felt that John’s achievement of being lauded as one of the most outstanding and original drummers of his time, be formally recognised.
The memorial, created by acclaimed sculptor Mark Richards, has been made possible from generous donations from both sides of the Atlantic with excess funds raised being donated to Teenage Cancer Trust West Midlands. In addition, a specially designed memorial teeshirt is being made available with 100% of profits going to the Trust to support their vital services across the West Midlands in memory of John Bonham who resided in Worcestershire with his wife Patricia and their two children until his untimely passing 25th September 1980.
RP's Carry Fire tour resumes at Bearded Theory's Spring Gathering and Bath Festivals in the UK in late May and returns to the US & Canada in June. Here's a bit of 'The May Queen' filmed live in Manchester last November. For tour tickets, go to Robertplant.com; to watch the full video, go to the Jukebox there and enter B2.
