Proud to be a faithful part of this scene, it's in my blood! Stoked to be in this epic book of gorgeous people! Model call Chicago this weekend March 21-23. I'll be putting down guitars and picking up shears to hit the stage at America's Beauty Show 2015, McCormick's Place Convention Center. Alongside Razed In Black I've been a platform artist for Kenchii Professional for a number of years now, as well as flinging hair in my salon Riah Salon - Jacksonville, FL. Looking for haircut volunteers to be cut by me. I won't do anything too crazy (unless you allow me to). Just need models to be able to showcase advanced techniques on stage and get those shears in action. We had a successful show last weekend in NYC for International Beauty Shows. We were the only stage at the expo with gothic models having Razed In Black haircuts with Industrial music in the background. Planning to do the same for Chicago. Private message me if interested. Questions and more details. It'll be fun! :)
To those in or near Kansas City MO, come join me in a rare deejay appearance to celebrate a good friend and promoter's bday, Brandon of Dark Heart-land productions. Thursday November 20, The MiniBar 3810 Broadway. Also featuring, a friend of mine as well DJ NZekt of Cryoflesh.com and Tokyo Underground by Cryoflesh. It'll be a great time. Tunes to get your stompy sweat on in this ass cold weather. I have a handful of RAS DVA Records tracks as well planned in honor of Ric Laciak (RIP my wonderful friend. We all miss you dearly.). Can't wait to see everyone!
I lost a friend whom I've known for years. Since before Razed In Black "Sacrificed" back in 1999. Back when people used to buy CDs, I frequented his record label catalog, RAS DVA Records, and got my hands on everything he put out (I proudly wear the t-shirt). I recently discovered he even kept a message I left for him on his answering machine back then. He's since been a very good friend of mine. Impressed with the mastering effort of a 4 CD compilation called "There is no time" (50+ bands from different studios and recording sources, it's not easy to make all the sounds sonically blend) I was honored to have him and his crew remaster the second pressings of Razed In Black "Sacrificed". We've kept in touch over the years. Keeping each other updated. Sending each other gifts. I have the print negatives to a section of one of the Leather Strip albums. Among things, I was going to pay for Ric and his then fiancé tattoos as a surprise with Conor when they went to Hawaii (but they decided on an alternative to the ink. I told Ric only later that the tattoos would have been paid for. I should have told him before.). I've been more in touch with him these last few months, couple of a years actually. Updates on his health status. Reminiscing old times. Ric Laciak has always been a great friend. I'm lucky have him in my life. Heaven is the lucky one now. I miss you dearly my friend ...
3:23 am. RAZED IN BLACK remix of "Bliss" by More Machine Than Man. Lack of time and scheduling issues, music software issues (despite having two working authorized usb sticks, I resorted to downloading an LE version of software in trial mode), and bad allergies for the past two days. A remix I'm satisfied with. Time to get some rest before I need to wake up in 3 hours for a full day in the salon. This project has me closer to completing new Razed In Black tracks, as long as I can get my software issues situated.
