On this day in 2000, Nick took part in the Rebuild The Roundhouse Gala, a fundraiser for the London venue (which Nick and his Saucerful Of Secrets performed in last month). Nick played Interstellar Overdrive accompanied by ex-Stranglers guitarist Hugh Cornwell, and Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.

Forty years ago today, Nick took part in the first of his five appearances in the 24 Hours of Le Mans motor racing event, with his car - a Lola T297 - finishing runner up in the vehicle's class. On this day in 2007, a tribute gig for Syd Barrett took place at London's Barbican, with profits from the show donated to the SANE Mental Health Charity. In the first half, Roger Waters performed a stripped back version of Flickering Flame, and in the second, Nick, along with David Gilmour and Richard Wright, performed Arnold Layne and Bike. Here's a shot of Nick and Roger backstage before the show started...
