Hey my old pals, Aaron Buchanan here. It's been a long time! The guys kindly let me use this page today to share with you that I have a new band Aaron Buchanan & The Cult Classics, a new album "The Man With Stars On His Knees", festival dates and tours coming up including Download Festival, Ramblin Man Fair, Camden Rocks Festival, and Wildfire Festival. This is also the first time I will have requested help from you as I've launched a PledgeMusic campaign to allow the new band to afford the roll-out of "The Man With Stars On His Knees" (recorded at Plus11 Recording Studio by James Curtis-Thomas and mastered at the legendary Abbey Road Studios by Christian Wright) which I'm proud to inform you will be released on May 26th. The album is completed, it's ready for the road, we just need help with getting it off the ground. So please hit the link below and support an album that was written and produced by rock music fans, for rock music fans. It's also a huge help to us if you can take a minute to SHARE this update! http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/aaronbuchananandthecultclassics Joining me in this new venture are the best'a the best: Chris Guyatt on bass, Kev Hickman on drums, my great friend and long-time guitar compadre Tom McCarthy and my sibling, stage left and shredding through that 1972 HiWatt on guitar, Laurie Buchanan. Hi everyone! Today gives us the massive pleasure of announcing our new band The Cruel Knives. After bringing in Tom as our new singer there was a completely rejuvenated energy and chemistry that we all felt had to be given the right to stand on it's own. Chris strongly believes in this change but as it turns out he wont be able to join us in this new chapter. We really value his ongoing support, he will always be our brother and we wish him and his new family a fantastic future. He explains his position here for you to read: Chris Rivers Art. Long time friend of the band, Al Junior, has entered the fold as drummer for The Cruel Knives and we can't wait for you all to see him live with us. We've always been blown away by how dedicated and supportive you've all been as fans throughout our career and figure you've waited way too long for new music! So here is our new song, 'The World We Were Sold'. This is just a taste of what’s to come, we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it and we can’t wait to share loads more music with you soon. As well as new music, we're also going to be joining The Pretty Reckless on their upcoming European Tour starting 19th January. We can’t wait to get out on the road again, playing live has always been the most important thing for us and that'll never change! If you could share this around to help us spread the word that'd be great! Also, don't forget to give our new page a 'like' to receive future updates. Cheers everyone, Tom, Sid, Rob & Al
Hi everyone! We'd really like to thank all of you for being so supportive and patient with us while we've been away. As some of you know, a few days ago we showed up with our new outfit to play two surprise shows with The Pretty Reckless and we loved every second of it, so cheers to everyone who was there in Paris and London to make the nights so special and kickstart us back into action! We couldn't have asked for a better welcome to bring Tom into the fold. We will have lots more info for you ASAP but in the meantime we just wanted to say thanks for being so passionate and encouraging. We read everything you send us and it's really meant the world to us over the last few months. We can't wait to share with you what is to come. Hope everyone's doing good, Sid, Rob, Chris Pic by Hannah Meadows

Hi everyone, After giving it much thought, Heaven's Basement and Aaron are parting ways. This is a mutual decision. We've all had a fantastic few years touring the world with Filthy Empire but we simply feel that our time together has run its course. We'd like to thank Aaron for being a part of everything we've done over the past few years, it's been an incredible ride and we’ve had some amazing times together (Aaron has a message for you all below). We’ll be looking for a new singer to move forward with and are excited for this new era. We can’t wait to bring to life all of the new music that we have written and to get back onstage for you as soon as possible! Our December shows are still going ahead and will be featuring our special guest and long time friend Danny Worsnop on lead vocals. These are gonna be a hell of a lot of fun and a great way for us all to end the year! We'd like to say a huge thank you to all of you for constantly giving us such amazing support, it really means the world to us. You always will be the heartbeat of this band. Here’s to the future, Sid, Chris & Rob And now a few words from Aaron...... To my friends, our fans, thank-you. It may come as a surprise to some of you, but the band and I have decided to call time on my days in Heaven’s Basement. The success of the band and support of yourselves has sent us to many corners of the earth; America, Canada, Australia, Europe, Scandinavia, and of course, the many cities of the little rock(s) we as a band reside upon, Great Britain. I’ve met you in pubs and clubs, I’ve met you on dusty fields, I’ve even met you on trains, planes and many other places by sheer luck and accident. We get about us musicians, as do you, our friends and fans, and it’s always been very nice feeling appreciated when we cross paths, so thank you. The break between the band and myself is quite amicable and simple, we are going in different directions. The main thing I want to say to all of you is thank you for turning up to the many hundreds of gigs we played, and allowing the band and myself to do what we did, go where we went, and meet you all - there were some very good times, I could never deny that, and you have been a very grateful and understanding audience, always. So that’s it really, the end of this chapter and the beginning of something new. I’d be very pleased to have you on board with the next venture, whatever it may be. You’re fantastic, We’ll meet again, Thank you, Aaron Buchanan
