Today marks the 10th anniversary of Night Ripper! The release of this album completely changed the course of my life. It's been an amazing and surreal ride, and I just wanted to thank everyone for the continued support!
Night Ripper was my 3rd album. I had been making music and performing as Girl Talk for 6 years at that point. My following was extremely small, but I was content with that. I never intended to live off of it. After the album came out, I noticed it slowly reaching beyond my normal audience. It took a few months, but by late summer, Night Ripper seemed like it was everywhere. Most major media outlets were covering it. Shows were selling out. This led to a whirlwind year, and I ended up quitting my job in July of 2007 in order to do Girl Talk full time.
Here we are, 10 years later! Thank you for listening to the music! Thank you for spreading the music! Thank you for coming to the shows!
