Sunday was my last BBC Radio 1 show on this #R1Residency. I’ve been pretty quiet on here recently because I’ve been in the studio writing. These shows have been a chance to come up for air. My second Essential Mix was broadcast this past weekend on BBC Radio 1. For the longest time I’ve set aside tracks in the hope I’d get to do another mix of this kind. Bargain bin finds, forgotten anthems, special edits, new material and new remixes. Knitting it all together in a coherent way was a real challenge but such a pleasure. I hope you enjoy listening.
