NEW SHOW ANNOUNCED: We'll be performing at The Tower Theatre in Bend, OR on Saturday, August 3. Tickets on sale Friday, May 17: http://bit.ly/2Q2HUwM For nearly a year I’ve been dreaming of a particular show we have coming up in August, at The Tower Theater in Bend. I love old Oregon theaters, and Bend’s high desert holds you so well in late summer with the juniper, pine, and sage all drying on its breeze. But this will be a unique night, which is why I’ve been looking forward to it. Opening the night before our show at The Tower and just two doors down from the theater, At Liberty Arts Collaborative is hosting a large show of my father's paintings. My dad, Royal Nebeker, was one of the Pacific Northwest’s most prominent artists of the past few decades. I wanted these two shows to coincide because the link between his work and my own has always been a strong one. He was my biggest mentor in songwriting and I made Blind Pilot’s first recordings in his painting studio. People have told me that they hear his images in my songs, and my music in his paintings, so it seemed like a fun thing to celebrate with anyone that loves music and visual art, and the links that cross between them. We’ll play some old and new Blind Pilot songs for you at The Tower, and then you’re all welcome to come join us for an afterparty in the At Liberty gallery where my dad’s paintings are hung. It’s not often we get to invite a whole theater full of people to come hang out with us after a show, and I’m excited for it. Pre-sale tickets go on sale on May 15 with general on-sale beginning May 17. I hope to see you there! - Israel

Tucker Martine is a profoundly important piece of the NW music culture, and his brilliant talent is part of why people think of Portland as a music city. His studio is in real jeopardy now, after being robbed, and he needs help. What could be better than a music party for a wonderful person, to remind him that we all care about him and love him, and are grateful for the work he’s given us over the years? Come help us celebrate this amazing man and get his studio back on it's feet! Tickets go on sale Friday, April 19 at 12PM PT: http://bit.ly/2Gu5orP
Our good friend came upon some big misfortune recently. She is an amazing soul with a heart of gold. When she's not working at her job in the music industry, she's volunteering around the globe, helping to make this world a better place. I'm posting this here in hopes that all her kindness might come back to her when she needs it now. If you feel like you can help, please do. Thanks friends! https://www.gofundme.com/aid-rachel-rocky-taylors-amputation-recovery?fbclid=IwAR10ENmY-nen8lyc3ICjd8-_kWaPobXT3rVK5Rr-5kSn-4zPAW_jxDxXfiY
Hey Portland friends, I'm excited to share I'll be playing a benefit show for a local environmental non-profit, Crag Law Center, on 12/18. Crag provides free and low-cost legal services to Native American tribes and environmental and community groups who are fighting to protect our clean water, wild places, communities and climate. The show will be hosted by Patagonia at their downtown store at 7pm with doors opening at 6pm. Patagonia will graciously provide us all with pizza and beer, wine or cider to enjoy. To purchase tickets, head to Crag's Give!Guide page and donate a minimum of $30: http://bit.ly/giveguidecrag. If you donate $50, you'll also get a coupon for 25% off Patagonia gear. Yesterday we celebrated the 10th anniversary of our first album, '3 Rounds and a Sound.' I can’t believe it’s been ten years! Ten years of travels to strange and beautiful places I never thought I’d go. Ten years of getting to play music in bars, theaters, and concert halls strung out in map lines to and from our Oregon home. Ten years of meeting and befriending good, good people all over this country and others. This little album we recorded in our friend’s basement studio sure has brought us so much, and I’m especially grateful for the connections it’s brought us with you all. To celebrate, we’re releasing a special limited edition vinyl (https://bit.ly/2tcgJoh) and heading out for a short tour (https://bit.ly/2IlQzdk). We can’t wait to see some of you soon on that trip! I hope this find you somewhere in summer sun and thinking back ten years to the day and trying to recall what it is you were doing and feeling and hoping for all that time ago. - Israel

I can’t believe it was almost ten years ago that we put out 3 Rounds And A Sound, our first Blind Pilot album. I remember thinking at the time it would most likely be heard by our families, our friends, and a handful of Portland strangers that would happen upon some of our shows. Then, this little album started crossing the continent and paving the way for us to follow it and play shows for more people and in more places than I ever could have dreamed up. It would take me days to list even the highlight moments held in these unbelievable ten years, and what comes to me with the most profound gratitude is you, our fans. I’m eternally, overwhelmingly grateful to you all for giving us this path in music. Thank you for listening and connecting to what we make. For ten years you’ve given us a place and purpose, and I’ll never be able to thank you enough. We’re celebrating! For the tenth birthday of 3 Rounds And A Sound we’re traveling to some cities in the northwest to play shows. We’ll play our first album in its entirety, and then we’ll play some newer songs too. We hope to see you there. - Israel Tickets for all 3 Rounds And A Sound 10 Year Anniversary tour dates go on sale Friday, May 18 at 10AM PT: https://bit.ly/2IlQzdk

Our amazingly talented friends, The Low Anthem, are releasing an album very soon and I'm so excited for them. It's new, heartfelt, and full of soul. You can listen to it now over on NPR. This last tour we got to visit them and play a show at the beautiful old vaudeville theater in Providence where they recorded this beauty. -Israel https://www.npr.org/2018/02/08/582669820/first-listen-the-low-anthem-the-salt-doll-went-to-measure-the-depth-of-the-sea
