Our good friend came upon some big misfortune recently. She is an amazing soul with a heart of gold. When she's not working at her job in the music industry, she's volunteering around the globe, helping to make this world a better place. I'm posting this here in hopes that all her kindness might come back to her when she needs it now. If you feel like you can help, please do. Thanks friends!

Hey Portland friends, I'm excited to share I'll be playing a benefit show for a local environmental non-profit, Crag Law Center, on 12/18. Crag provides free and low-cost legal services to Native American tribes and environmental and community groups who are fighting to protect our clean water, wild places, communities and climate. The show will be hosted by Patagonia at their downtown store at 7pm with doors opening at 6pm. Patagonia will graciously provide us all with pizza and beer, wine or cider to enjoy. To purchase tickets, head to Crag's Give!Guide page and donate a minimum of $30: http://bit.ly/giveguidecrag. If you donate $50, you'll also get a coupon for 25% off Patagonia gear. Hope to see you there! -Israel

Yesterday we celebrated the 10th anniversary of our first album, '3 Rounds and a Sound.' I can’t believe it’s been ten years! Ten years of travels to strange and beautiful places I never thought I’d go. Ten years of getting to play music in bars, theaters, and concert halls strung out in map lines to and from our Oregon home. Ten years of meeting and befriending good, good people all over this country and others. This little album we recorded in our friend’s basement studio sure has brought us so much, and I’m especially grateful for the connections it’s brought us with you all.
To celebrate, we’re releasing a special limited edition vinyl (https://bit.ly/2tcgJoh) and heading out for a short tour (https://bit.ly/2IlQzdk). We can’t wait to see some of you soon on that trip!
I hope this find you somewhere in summer sun and thinking back ten years to the day and trying to recall what it is you were doing and feeling and hoping for all that time ago.

I can’t believe it was almost ten years ago that we put out 3 Rounds And A Sound, our first Blind Pilot album. I remember thinking at the time it would most likely be heard by our families, our friends, and a handful of Portland strangers that would happen upon some of our shows. Then, this little album started crossing the continent and paving the way for us to follow it and play shows for more people and in more places than I ever could have dreamed up. It would take me days to list even the highlight moments held in these unbelievable ten years, and what comes to me with the most profound gratitude is you, our fans. I’m eternally, overwhelmingly grateful to you all for giving us this path in music. Thank you for listening and connecting to what we make. For ten years you’ve given us a place and purpose, and I’ll never be able to thank you enough.
We’re celebrating! For the tenth birthday of 3 Rounds And A Sound we’re traveling to some cities in the northwest to play shows. We’ll play our first album in its entirety, and then we’ll play some newer songs too. We hope to see you there.

Our amazingly talented friends, The Low Anthem, are releasing an album very soon and I'm so excited for them. It's new, heartfelt, and full of soul. You can listen to it now over on NPR. This last tour we got to visit them and play a show at the beautiful old vaudeville theater in Providence where they recorded this beauty. -Israel

Dearest friends in the Northwest and afar,
We couldn’t be happier to invite you out to our upcoming show with the Oregon Symphony: bit.ly/BP-Symphony On March 1st we’ll be playing with them at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. This is the second time we’ve gotten to share that beautiful stage and play our music with those incredibly talented folks. Last time was possibly my favorite show ever. This time around we’re adding many more songs to be played with the orchestra. We’ll play two sets of our music and it should be a great night.
It’s been grounding and good being back home on a break from touring and writing new songs for our next album, but we miss you and I can’t wait to see some of your familiar faces at this show.
Be good to yourselves and each other,
Israel and Blind Pilot
