This was the first song I sent to producer Tony Berg when we started to discuss “My New Moon” sessions. I was offering it to him for his daughter Z Berg, who was recording her album then, and thought it would be great for her. He said he loved it, but thought I should record it. It’s funny because it was always a centerpiece song and somehow didn’t end up on the album. I’m glad that we have this time now to release these songs, that are just as good as what is on the album, but needed more time to rest before they were cast into the spinout cycles and cylinder speaker centers.

I’ve had some great times in Louisville, and some zany ones, and I wrote a song about someone who wants to get back home after a rough go of it. I love the bridge, and the fellow who mixed the album, Tchad Blake, absolutely took this song to the next level. Very honored that Tony Berg and Tchad both worked on this album.
