Cloud Cult is an experimental indie rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota led by singer/songwriter Craig Minowa. Formed in 1995, the name originated from the ancient prophecies of indigenous North Americans
The band's founder and singer Craig Minowa has a degree in Environmental Science, and his environmental, political, and social awareness is reflected in much of Cloud Cult's music. (Note: Craig Minowa actually has stated he intentionally doesn't sing about environmental awareness because he lives it. Read more on Last.fm

Congratulations to Shawn (Cloud Cult bass/trombone/banjo/glock) and Ashley (all around great human being) for finding true love in each other and getting married this last weekend! The ceremony was a tear jerker, and the reception felt like an outdoor music festival with multiple stages. Your love will live forever:)
We were just informed that the TCM cable network used our song Through the Ages for a promo of some classic movies they'll be showing this month. It's pretty cool to see it in context with some of these oldies but goodies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFbg34VJwnk

Three Storms. Six Days. #tbt https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWtrzp7QyqQ
"Compare the six days of the book of Genesis
To the four billion years of geologic time
On this scale, one day equals about 666 million years.
All day Monday, until Tuesday noon,
Creation was busy getting the Earth going.
Life began on Tuesday noon,
And the beautiful organic wholeness of it
developed over the next four days.
At 4 PM Saturday the big reptiles came;
Five hours later, when the redwoods appeared,
there were no more big reptiles.
At three minutes before midnight, man appeared.
At one-fourth of a second before midnight, Christ revolted.
At one-fortieth of a second before midnight, the Industrial Revolution began.
We are surrounded by people who think
that what we have been doing
for one-fortieth of a second
can go on indefinitely.
They are considered normal.
But they are Stark. Raving. Mad."
