Hello Everyone! It's Stefanie, ASW's manager. We're managing an awesome singer/songwriter named Clay Borrell. His first single/video is on youtube. I think you'll dig it. Check it out and feel free to "like" or comment, subscribe, go crazy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yqg92Nb53Q Thanks!!!
Hi Everyone who is still here! This is Stefanie. A quick note about the Kickstarter...I've received several emails from backers who are upset that they didn't receive their CD, but in 99% of those cases, the package they backed included a DIGITAL copy, not a physical. All of the digital copies were emailed on Oct 16, 17, 18. They were emailed to the address that was used to register the account. It is possible that the link may have gone to your spam folder, so if you haven't received your digital copy, make sure to check the email you used on kickstarter and your spam folder! Regarding physical CDs, many of you changed addresses or didn't submit your address until a few days before the CD came out! We went through all of the backers and compiled a mailing list a few weeks before release date, so if you sent your address late, it was not included on our original mailing list. I have since gone back several times to check for any addresses that have trickled in, and sent those CDs out as well. If I didn't have your address in time, I couldn't mail your CD! I'd also like to note that our merch company, West Aspen, simply mailed the packages for us. They are not responsible for any issues associated with this project. I know the majority of fans are happy. Many of you had an amazing coffee date with the guys, some of you went to Disneyland, The San Diego Zoo, Universal Studios. There were private video messages, handwritten lyrics, dinosaur drawings. Tons of really cool things. I'd like to personally thank ALL of you for backing the project and apologize to anyone who received their reward late. I'm still handling all of the issues that arise, and I know the people I have spoken to are very satisfied. Thanks for hanging in there! I hope you all had a great holiday, and have a happy & healthy New Year!
It's that time of year again! Happy Halloween! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jO2KNMoVrNs
To clarify since there seems to be some confusion...the people who get thanked here specifically backed a reward that includes getting thanked here. Pledging for a CD does not automatically get you a FB thanks. If you were supposed to be thanked (as specifically stated in the reward you backed) but didn't, then I will definitely fix that! -Stefanie
Our friend Tom is on the right. He has hung out with us every time we were in London since the first time. Our hearts go out to his family. Read about his death and help his family bring his body home. #AwarenessForTomOusby http://www.gofundme.com/3w2n14
Today is Allstar Weekend's last show. To all fans of the band, thank you for your support over the years. If you had a very personal connection to Allstar Weekend's music, our personalities, or anything else, we're happy that we were whatever it was to you. We hope as the years go on, your connection to music will continue to grow and evolve. The older I get the more I realize, it wasn't us, it was how you saw us, and that's the most important thing. Though we always try to be sincere, and we pride ourselves in what I hope is real honesty, we'd be lying if we told you we were the same people that we set out as 4 years ago. So many things have happened to us as performers and as people and at the end of it all, right here, right now, we're not the people you've seen on stage and in videos anymore. I only say that because I know there is an expectation for the future, and the honest truth is we just don't want to be that anymore. All that being said, and for lack of the right words, thank you for seeing something in us over these four years, because the things we got to do because of being in this band are not regrets and we are irreversibly defined by these experiences. The fact that we did anything for anybody is remarkable, whether it was simply making you laugh, helping you through a stage in your life, whatever it was, we are humbled by how the little things we did meant something more. Thank you for that. If you listen to any music we release collectively or individually after now and like it, we look forward to your interest. That being said, everything we do in the future will not be like Allstar Weekend, in name or in mindset, and we don't want you to listen to our new endeavors just because you liked Allstar Weekend. We saw that a song was leaked online and some of you guys heard it and started fan pages and changed your twitter handles. We know you guys had the best intentions in doing that, it's just we want to prove ourselves and the new music that we're really proud of. If we're just "ex-Allstar Weekend," we'll never get the fresh start we want. So if you post about our new band in any way, please don't mention Allstar Weekend, it defeats the purpose of starting anew. We also don't want you to be disappointed if you come to a show and it's not what you expected based on past Allstar Weekend shows. We will not play any Allstar Weekend songs, and we'll be really bummed out if you ask. It's like going up to you and asking about an ex-boyfriend, you may have some great memories with him, but now you don't really want to think or talk about him. Also, you have given us so many incredible gifts over the years. Some have been so thoughtful. But we don't have room to keep everything and we'd feel horrible having to throw out your hard work. We promise that being a fan of our music and supporting us is just as important as any gift. If you were here today for our last show, went to any of the shows on this last tour, or even if you saw us once years ago, once again, thank you. Although we're ready to say goodbye, this is more surreal than any of us expected.
